Why I enjoy living incognito…

I’ve always been a very private person, it makes me feel safe the less people know about me. Because I know how flawed human beings can be, sometimes the less people know the better. People always tend to use what they know about you against you. They use these things to justify their opinions of you. This leads me to question, if they didn’t know this “thing” about you, what would they use to justify their opinion instead? Is it possible they wouldn’t have an opinion? Well no, because everyone has an opinion, but I guess they would have to use their brain instead of what they know. I know it’s hard to build connections if you don’t share yourself. The world encourages us to own our feelings, be vulnerable, and share share share…but the majority of people in this world don’t have the emotional capacity to be responsible with the information shared with them. People love to talk, they love to talk about people, and they love to talk about other peoples business. They can’t keep secrets and don’t know when to shut the fuck up. They show me time and time again, why I prefer to be selective about what I share, and whom I share it with. It’s triggering and this upsets me, but on the flipside if I am 100% real and raw people will love/like me for who I am instead of who they think I am…because I can almost guarantee that what people think of me, and who people think I am is far from the truth…
